"Paranormal activity." Vendetta's commentary was nearly washed away by the violent storms emitting from the psychedelic hole in front of her and her friends, "That's what it is." She raised her hand and pointed it at the rip in the dimension.

Marya took a step forward. "This is our chance!" she shouted boldy and turned to face her friends. "On the other side of this portal lies and adventure, just for us, I'm sure!" She smiled in excitement. "Besides, we have to investigate, right?" She turned to face the portal. "This portal has something to do with the crazy stuff that's been happening here lately and we have to put a stop to it. I won't ask you two to put yourselves in danger, but I cannot let this go!!" With that, she ran towards the portal and jumped in.

As Marya turned and ran, Authur reached a hand to try and stop her. "Marya, that's-" But she'd already jumped.

"That's not such a good idea." He started to walk forward, towards the portal, then looked back at Vendetta. "I'm going after her. But she is right, right? The portal, the cars, the pinecones - it's all gotta be connected."

He nodded, as if reassuring himself, and broke into a dead run for the portal. At the least second, he jumped through it.

Vendetta nodded at Authur as he followed Marya into the hole. Doing the same, she then slowly walked towards the portal, wind blowing into her face at full force, and leaped through the portal and into the psychedelic madness.

Inside the portal, there was nothing, yet there was everything. Flashing, psychedelic colors surrounded the group and they seemed to be floating in midair, yet on the ground. There were things to grab onto, yet they could not grasp them. Were they even there? Marya floated about being pulled in no direction, yet every direction. "Is anyone there!!" she yelled at the top of her lungs, wondering if her friends had followed her. And even if they hadn't, she desperately needed help.

Gently floating along, Authur sighed. This wasn't so bad, what was he worried about?

"I'm here, Marya." He didn't see her, but as soon as he spoke her name he was right beside her. "Well that's a little strange . . . what is this place?" In comparison to Marya, Authur was floating sideways. He laced his fingers behind his head and looked all around him.

"Still really trippy."

Hovering along the psychedelic scenery, Vendetta sighted a nearby figure of what seemed to be Marya. Luckily, she was able to float towards her without much trouble. Once she arrived at Marya's side, she waved at her, despite being upside down compared to her.

Marya smiled and waved back at her floating friend, however, the strange, "trippy" peace of the void they were now floating in shattered as a ghastly figure appeared just ahead of them. The group suddenly fell and landed on something solid, yet invisible. As the figure drew nearer, it became obvious that it was a phantom of sorts with a cloak of rags for a body and grey hood over its head. An enormous scythe of wild colors, mostly violet, rested in the monster's two, covered up hands. Marya was frightened; it looked as if it was about to attack them.

Marya shrieked as she saw that the thing had malevolent intent. She held up her arms to prevent herself from looking at it. That's when she noticed that...she had gloves on? And not just any gloves, it seemed. The gloves had some fairly dull iron blades on them to make them look like claws. "Guys, what are we gonna do?" she panicked aloud. Whatever this thing was could take them down in an instant. She looked around to see glowing strings extending from the invisible ground up to an invisible ceiling. They reminded her of harp strings and they made her want to pluck them, but she had to focus at the horrid situation at hand.

Authur stared at the phantom thing, transfixed by it. He'd never seen anything like it, except maybe in video games. But this wasn't a game . . . or was it? Authur decided not to fear and clenched his fists. He was surprised by a crisp snikt! sound and looked down at his hands to discover some kind of blades belted to his forearms.

"We've been armed." Authur said aloud, looking back up at the creature.

Vendetta looked upward and examined the phantasmic creature a few yards away from her position. She lifted up her hand and attempted to brush her hair, yet she noticed that she was wielding a serrated, long katana the second her hand came up to her head's height.

Authur looked around the battlefield, gauging distances and obstacles. That was when he noticed the chords that led up to nowhere. He was close enough that he could see they were very fine. Suddenly, his vision focused and he could see the chord in detail. It was very thin and it shimmered. Authur reached out, the blade on his arm retracting, and plucked it curiously.

Vendetta turned her head in all directions, examining the room for something of use. She then set her eyes upon a thin, eerie string that was jetting out of the ground and up to nowhere, walked up to it, and gently plucked it with the tip of her finger.

As the strings were plucked, a horrid, extremely sharp note rang out across the area. Surprisingly, the phantom flinched and started to wail in dismay as if the sound was hurting it severely. However, once the strings were plucked, they instantly disintegrated.

Authur growled as Marya moved to attack the phantom creature. That wasn't wise, they had no idea how well it would take their attacks, and something told him it would take more than a couple swipes at its infinite rags.

Authur moves to F - 3.

Authur uses Bloody Cross on Voraynia! 2 Strikes, 6 Atk damage each strike. S - Ability: For The Love Of Blood activayes! Chance to cause Bleed.

Authur was surprised by the swiftness and power of his own assault, even the quickened pace of his movement was a little unsettling. He attributed it to adrenaline and stayed ready to defend.

Marya felt like running away as she watched the phantom put its scythe to good use. The sight of Authur's wound made her gag, but she knew she couldn't let up. She delivered to more hefty blows to the monster in hopes of taking it down soon. How much longer could it withstand their onslaught. "Are you okay, Authur?" she asked in concern as she snapped from her reverie.

Authur was taken by surprise again as the phantom sliced him with its scythe. It hurt, a lot, but he wasn't going to say that. He could taste a metallic tang in his mouth. Crimson spread all over the front of his jacket, and Authur growled.

Rushing over to her friends to aid them in combat, Vendetta quickly readied her newfound blade for an onslaught like she had never experienced before.

Vendetta attacks Voraynia. 5 Attack Dmg and a chance of Fear.

Quickly lunging her blade out towards the vile creature, Vendetta hastily returned her blade to her side as soon as the blade plunged into her target's skin, not wanting to attract it to her.

Marya could sense that the phantom-like creature didn't have much fight left in it. She couldn't believe they were winning. She had never fought a day in her life. Maybe it was the fear that drove her and made her stronger, but she wasn't about to relent yet. She rushed up to it and dealt two blows in its side to achieve somewhat of a level of vengeance for Authur.

Authur was surprised, once again, by how much the phantom's attacks hurt. However, this time, he doubled over and coughed up blood. He wouldn't be able to take much more.

"Be careful, Marya!"

Eying another chord close by, he moved towards it in the hopes that he would be able to pluck it like one of the others.

Authur hissed in anger as Marya fell. He dashed the rest if the way to the chord and pulled at it violently, knowing the piercing tone it created would harm the creature. Too bad it wouldn't die because of it.
