The remaining sword zoog was none to pleased about the killing of his friend. He nodded at the arrow zoog before moving forward, targeting the guy who had conjured a sword from nowhere. He raised his hand and a green cloud surrounded August. When the cloud cleared, August was a tiny version of himself. The sword zoog laughed.

Miquara chattered crazily before doing a little jig and slamming the bottom of his staff into the ground. Immediately, a violent tremor proceeded to knock the party off their feet. He waved his staff in the air triumphantly and his partner magic zoog gave him a thumb's up.

Miquara waits.

Sandrezna caught sight of Ankhema's signal to the arrow zoog and decided to contribute to the revenge.

Sandrezna moves to C8.

Sandrezna spun his staff and pointed it at Ling. Suddenly, a whirl of leaves surrounded the shade, their edges sharp enough to leave multiple lacerations on him.

After nodding to Ankhema that he got the message, Lerajna moved over to a more favorable position and nocked an arrow. Green energy surged through the shaft and manifested in the tip. The zoog released the arrow which lodged itself right into Ling's left arm. The result was unexpected. Ling began to shrink, just like August, and before long, he was smaller than the zoogs.

He dashed through the grass, which was a major nuisance, and took refuge behind a flower. He hoped the effect wasn't permanent. What strange things existed here in this dream world.

When Ling was attacked multiple times, he closed his eyes. When he opened them, everyone and everything else had become larger than he is, as if he was...shrunk! Knowing that he wouldn't last very long, Ling ran back and hoped that he wouldn't get killed.

"Hey, wait a second." The knight followed the movements of one of the others that had been shrunken. She held her hand up, palm glowing with a small white light. "Be healed." The light passed to the shrunken guy, and he regained his original size in a couple seconds.

Aryn casts Healing of Forgiveness on Ling! Ling is healed of Mini.

Aryn nodded at her work, then said to him, "Forgive them for what they do, I don't think they know any better."

Suddenly, August found that his tiny form was floating into the air and he felt he could travel miles away, though they would probably only seem like feet to a person who was of regular size. With great haste, he ducked and weaved in the air, trying to avoid large blades of grass until he reached somewhere remote in the area where he thought he would be safe for the moment.

August remained behind his giant flower, afraid of what awaited him in the amazing expanse of the forest floor. Apparently, he had indeed found a safe haven, and he was relieved when no more arrows descended from the sky.

The Holy Knight concentrated on her want for vengeance, intending to use her sword, but instead the mist coalesced about her. She glanced at it for a couple seconds, then on a hunch used it as mana. All of a sudden it flared into bright red flames that seemed to darken the area like a twilight shadow, and scorched each of the Zoogs badly.

Panting with the exertion, she said, "Well . . . I didn't expect that . . . "

Though the main threat was defeated, a large amount of angry chattering came from all around the party. As they looked about, they noticed that most of the trees were filled with zoogs, some holding swords and shields with others in shoddy robes with twig staves. One zoog hopped to the ground amongst his dead allies and then took off in the opposite direction of the party. Something was going down, so the party followed the zoog. It wasn't long before they arrived in a clearing. There was no trace of the zoog anywhere. However, a loud roar sounded from above as a giant behemoth dropped down on them. It was green in color with moss and grass covering its back. The scent of wildflowers filled the air. It became obvious that this was a trap crafted by the zoogs, and now the party had to fight their way out of it. To make things worse, all the zoogs from before were beginning to fill the trees around the clearing, eager to watch the event.
