Springing forth similar to before, she slashed at the angel. Landing gracefully, she thought about the situation. How had she ended up in Hell? It didn't make much sense, she hadn't been anything but just in her life, or so she thought. Thinking about it, was she even alive?

Alyssia dismissed Cerberus and put her sword away. The bodies of the angels had turned to golden dust, but a couple of their feathers were left behind. Alyssia picked them up and looked around. "I guess we just continue on from here. I have no doubt that there are more of them waiting for us. We'd best be prepared," she said cautiously. Her mood had depressed since the escape from Hell. It was a lovely staircase, but she desired to see the land that she knew was waiting for her and her allies.

"Let's go..."

Lightning settled herself on near the exit to Trace's Chariot, holding on tightly to the edge. She had a feeling in her gut that things would only get worse when they ran into battle next, but she didn't care. Her eyes headed up the staircase, wondering just how long it could go on for. In the back of her mind she still wondered, what was going on here?

Trace motioned for Alyssia to get in, riding over to the gatekeeper. He looked up the staircase, and then at the angel feathers. Surely there would be many more in Heaven, which would make the future battles even harder. With a mental sigh he awaited Alyssia to enter the chriot, his hands tightening around the reigns.

Alyssia shook her head. "I'll be flying on my own, thank you," she refused politely. "From up above, I'll be able to see if any more angels decide to charge us." With that, she flapped her wings once and took off into the sky.

As the group moved onwards, things just became more and more monotonous. It didn't even seem as though time was passing. Alyssia was overwhelmed by a horrible feeling. "Trace! You might want to stop again!" she called out to the chariot racer.

Several spheres formed in the sky and began hailing down upon the party. "Hahahahaha! So, you make it past two measly angels, eh? Too bad they don't even possess a fraction of the power that I do!" From out of the clouds above, two more angels descended accompanied by a much older looking angel with impressive chainmail covering his robes and a saber of pure light in his hand. "My trial will be your last!"

Lightning jumped from the chariot as Alyssia called down to them. She rushed to a position just as the others reached their positions. She grabbed her compressed gunblade, watching as it reverted to normal form. Pointing it at the angel none to far from her, she readied for the fight.

Trace starts at I3!

Trace stopped immeadiately, turning to pull a level in the chariot. A cover came over him as the spheres rained down. It wsn't like it would make a difference, his cover was meant for rain, not attacks. Whiping out his Poleaxe, he was ready for the fight.

Trace drove forward, two tiny capsules in his hand. He knew that the main angel would be the most trouble. As he came upon the angel, he threw one of the capsules. A web of bronze wire snatched up the angel. And just when he might think it was over, he threw another Capsule. The mess of wires tangled, hopefully limiting the movement of the Angel.

The archangel became slightly disgruntled. "Joseph, Mark! Distract them until I recover!" he ordered his subordinates as he hovered off to wait until he was no longer disabled.

"As you wish, Lord Bernard," Joseph responded. He approached the chariot racer with a glimmer of a smirk upon his face. His blazing sword grew larger and hotter before the angel slashed Trace with it.
