Lightning moves to F6!
"One more time." Lightning stated, pointing once more in the direction she wanted the panel to move. In a short moment the panel was aligned with the pedestal, only the arrow was facing the wrong direction. Only one more movement and it would be in its proper place. Then she could move onto the next panel and hopefully they could move on.
Lightning uses Trigger Command: Slide on Panel F7! Panel F7 moves to E7!
With all of his allies preparing the tiles for their proper places, Terra nodded at the tile in front of him. "Turn counterclockwise please." the Actor said simply, watching as the tile rotated in the desired direction. "Perfect." he thought to himself, looking up to see how everyone else was doing before taking a step towards the other end of the room.
Terra uses Trigger Command: Rotate on Panel H5! Panel H5 is rotated counterclockwise!

"Wow, this one's actually pretty easy. Guess we better not take it for granted," Alyssia said cockily as she skirted past the pedestal and focused on the next panel. She figured Lightning and Terra would be able to handle the other. It was already in place; it just needed to be rotated now. "Wait a minute...Lightning, I'm going to place this one. I need you to rotate it. If you let Terra rotate the one you placed, we should have the puzzle solved," Alyssia called out to the woman. Alyssia waved her hand through the air and pointed to the spot she wanted the panel to move to. "Move right there," she ordered it, watching as it slid into place. Now it would just need some rotation. She took a moment to wave a hand at Cerberus gesturing for him to stand down for the time being. It was almost over.

Lightning nodded before following behind her ally; the second the tile was in place she spoke. "Counterclockwise." was her command, which was quickly followed. The tile clicked into its proper position which left Terra to finish the puzzle. "Go ahead."

The room began to shake again which was something Alyssia was getting tired of until she remembered that she could fly. Taking to the air, she awaited the appearance of the portal, and when it showed itself, flew right inside with the others right behind her. Enveloped by energy, the group tumbled along through the vortex until they found themselves standing in the next chamber. There was no telling how many trials they had to face, but Alyssia just pinched the bridge of her nose and took in a deep breath. She was starting to get a headache. When she opened her eyes and lowered her hand, she noticed the pedestal in the center of the room holding the stone tablet with the ancient writing on it. On both sides of the room there seemed to be more rooms around, but the stone walls had no doors or windows. There appeared to be no way in and no way out. That was all that was visible.
"Think it's safe to say our way out is in one of these rooms?" Alyssia posed the idea to the others. The only problem was actually finding out what was behind the walls. The pedestal would definitely have the answers, so she'd have to get to it quickly to figure out what to do. "Get ready, you guys. Something about this seems...off."

Alyssia cautiously stepped forward this time, approaching the pedestal with her eyes glancing at the many walls surrounding her. She hated having them around. Taking a soft breath, Alyssia loomed over the tablet, scanning the words before her. "It says..." she started to say, but trailed off. "A trial of choice and luck. Both danger and sanctuary lies hidden and unseen. Lift the veil from your path to the future." A grimace formed on her face. Luck? Choice? She looked down the corridors between the walls and noticed that there were three levers in each direction. "Guys, there are levers around. Do you think they might open some hidden doors in the walls?" she asked the others, working on trying to figure out the best course of action for this particular challenge. There was danger behind the walls, but also...sanctuary. Would that be their way out?
Cerberus moves to G5.
Cerberus padded after his master. With things as ominous as they were, there was no way he was going to leave her side right now. He stood tensely as Alyssia read the words from the tablet and seemed particularly perturbed by them. Things could possibly get dangerous with this one. He bared his fangs slightly and let out a low volume growl, quickly scanning the areas he could see which would do no good. Apparently, the danger was hidden, or so the tablet had dictated. They would have to find it or maybe, by luck, avoid it altogether.
Cerberus waits.

Alyssia cautiously stepped forward this time, approaching the pedestal with her eyes glancing at the many walls surrounding her. She hated having them around. Taking a soft breath, Alyssia loomed over the tablet, scanning the words before her. "It says..." she started to say, but trailed off. "A trial of choice and luck. Both danger and sanctuary lies hidden and unseen. Lift the veil from your path to the future." A grimace formed on her face. Luck? Choice? She looked down the corridors between the walls and noticed that there were three levers in each direction. "Guys, there are levers around. Do you think they might open some hidden doors in the walls?" she asked the others, working on trying to figure out the best course of action for this particular challenge. There was danger behind the walls, but also...sanctuary. Would that be their way out?
Cerberus moves to G5.
Cerberus padded after his master. With things as ominous as they were, there was no way he was going to leave her side right now. He stood tensely as Alyssia read the words from the tablet and seemed particularly perturbed by them. Things could possibly get dangerous with this one. He bared his fangs slightly and let out a low volume growl, quickly scanning the areas he could see which would do no good. Apparently, the danger was hidden, or so the tablet had dictated. They would have to find it or maybe, by luck, avoid it altogether.
Cerberus waits.

Lightning paid close attention to the riddle, mentally frowning as her ally finished reading the clue. It was not exactly laid out like the others had been; it even mentioned the whole thing being left to chance and luck. There was only one thing for them to do if they wanted to move on anytime soon. "We're going to have to pull one of them." Lightning stated bluntly, looking between the three available levers. "So which one?"

Terra followed the others closely behind, casting the offensive version of the two charms he had on himself quickly. He was not sure what there was in this room, but he wanted to be prepared in any way possible. When the question of which lever to pull came up, he froze for a moment, looking between the three choices. Oh how he wished the Diviner were with them at that moment, it would have helped them so much to have her just look into the future and see which one would lead to safety. But alas, she was not with them and they would just have to experiment and see what happened. "Let's just go in order. Left to right and see what happens." Terra said quietly, still checking out the options. "Just... deal with them one at a time."

"Left to right, you said?" Alyssia's gaze turned to look at the lever near the chamber's left wall. "Sounds good enough to me. Pulling all at the same time would probably be disastrous. Get ready because here I go." With that, she took a breath and flew over to the lever, inspecting it closely before placing her hand gingerly on the handle. By that point, there wasn't much left to lose. Alyssia pulled the lever down and closed her eyes, bracing herself to dodge some trap or whatever. A few moments passed the sound of stone scraping against stone filled the chamber. The girl turned to face the direction the sound had come from to see that one of the stone walls in the upper right of the chamber had lowered revealing...something she didn't know. "Guys, what's in the room over there?" She waved a hand at Cerberus issuing a subtle command to just stay alert.
Alyssia uses Trigger Command: Pull on Lever (F2)!
Cerberus waits.
Heeding the command, Cerberus held his ground. Even if he could see what was in the room, there was no way he'd be able to communicate it easily to Alyssia, depending on what it was. He'd leave it up to the others to relay that sort of information while staying on guard in the case that trouble arose from pulling that particular lever.

"It's another lever." Lightning said upon a quick inspection of the room that had opened. She had prepared herself for a creature or other kind of trap but to be rewarded with a lever was a relief. The other two likely opened traps and they were lucky to choose the right one; the lever that was revealed probably opened the path. And yet it seemed to easy for them to just pull the lever in the new room and move on. "Let's try the others..." she added moving over to the rightmost lever.

"This one was closer." Lightning added, the comment directed towards Terra who had suggested left to right. Seeing as she could not reach the uppermost lever, this one would have to do. The boy could not complain about that. With a grip placed on the lever, the soldier pulled the mechanism and braced herself as another wall lowered.

"Wait!" Terra called out too late for his own good, as Lightning pulled the lever. He quickly drew his saber as one of the walls began to move to reveal whatever it would reveal. "We don't know what else is in here, we could have at least tried the new lever." the Actor stated, trying to calm his nerves in preparation for whatever was going to happen now.

The lever pulled by Lightning lifted the wall of the bottom left room, though there was nothing good that came from that one. A loud roar resounded through the area as a creature was revealed to be hiding within--a behemoth. The monster was immense in size, its muscular body covered in dark olive fur. Its fangs and claws were sharp as razors, black in hue. Two black horns shot out of its head, and hazel eyes gazed outwards, scouring the area for prey.

"Shit." Alyssia heard the loud roar resound off the stone walls of the chamber. She couldn't see exactly what the source of the sound was, but she really didn't care to find out what it was. She raised her hand and felt a gentle gale surround her, the winds causing her clothes to flutter a bit. It was calming and comforting, and she felt a bit more at ease with the protection. For the moment, she held her ground. "Cerberus, engage it. I'll be coming in from behind. Terra and Lightning can help you too," she commanded, though she was positive Cerberus would already be preparing to take action. The appearance of whatever it was might have been sudden, but they had all been expecting something like this. If they had let their guard down, they would have no doubt been shaken more than they were now.

Cerberus spun as quickly as the large beast could without taking out some of the stone wall near him or the pedestal. The three-headed creature lunged forward and started biting the behemoth that had shown itself. Apparently, it had been trapped within the walls by whoever designed this particular trial. It was certainly a nice present. Cerberus snapped at the muscled beast. He was familiar with behemoths. They certainly didn't taste very good, but their claws and fangs were specifically honed for combat. Not to mention that the behemoth's formidable strength was something to be feared. It would be difficult to take one out, but at least it was outnumbered.

"Shit." Alyssia heard the loud roar resound off the stone walls of the chamber. She couldn't see exactly what the source of the sound was, but she really didn't care to find out what it was. She raised her hand and felt a gentle gale surround her, the winds causing her clothes to flutter a bit. It was calming and comforting, and she felt a bit more at ease with the protection. For the moment, she held her ground. "Cerberus, engage it. I'll be coming in from behind. Terra and Lightning can help you too," she commanded, though she was positive Cerberus would already be preparing to take action. The appearance of whatever it was might have been sudden, but they had all been expecting something like this. If they had let their guard down, they would have no doubt been shaken more than they were now.

Just as swiftly as the Actor had moved, the water vapor around the large behemoth congealed and then froze over, hopefully trapping the beast in a thick coating of ice.

Lightning flinched just barely at the sound of the behemoth roaring; so maybe her choice of lever was not the best. But even if Terra was unhappy with her choice, it was a good one nonetheless. She too had been getting tired of just completing puzzles, a fight was in order and this was one way to do it. She swiftly took off into the fray, a blue aura washing over her followed by a wave of power boosting mana.

Lightning mentally frowned as she got into range... barely. The only spell she had to use at this range was rather weak, but with the power boost and possible freeze it might do well. And even if it was not, it was her own fault for not having a longer range spell. "Water." Lightning muttered, thrusting a hand in the direction of the behemoth. A surge of water fell from the air and covered it. If it was not frozen, it might have gotten soaked at the very least.

Out of the corner of his right head, Cerberus noticed Alyssia preparing herself and heard her commands loud and clear. The behemoth's attacks proved to be just as powerful as he expected, but in response, the shadows rose around him, thickening just a bit to form a very thin layer of protection. Dodging around the behemoth, Cerberus managed to claw at the thing before chomping down on it three times, once with each of his heads. It was a battle of beasts, granted the others were helping of course, but in the heat of things, Cerberus didn't even notice them. As mighty as the behemoth was, Cerberus was designated the guardian of Hell for a reason, and he sought to prove that to the beast before him.

"All right, let's get this shit done," Alyssia stated simply, stretching her free arm out before gliding in to attack the behemoth, slicing away at its muscular neck finding quite a bit of resistance causing Alyssia's mouth to open a bit in awe before she landed. "Well, this isn't going to be as easy as I thought." She was clearly displeased, but certainly up for the challenge. The four of them together were a force to be reckoned with. Alyssia wondered if there was another one hiding behind one of the other walls...or maybe something worse. They certainly didn't pull any punches this time. Alyssia kept her stance firm and wary, ready to dodge if necessary, and she would try her best to do so after seeing the gashes in Cerberus's flesh.

"Uh oh." Terra whispered as the creature broke free of the icy veil he had conjured around it. Perhaps it was able to fully resist the spells effects? The Actor hesitated as he tried to decide if he should try again, ultimately he raised his blade; he would not be pulling the same attack again. "Try this on for size!" Terra muttered before disappearing in a flash and reappearing behind the monster. A powerful thrust did little to move it, but a strange energy did begin to surround it. "Fade!"
Terra uses Ascendere al Cielo on Feral! 25 Atk Light Damage! 15% Chance of Oblivion!
Finished with his attack, Terra flashed back to his previous location only to quickly take off. He was not going to be able to dodge the monster, but hopefully getting out of its line of sight would keep him relatively safe.

"Uh oh." Terra whispered as the creature broke free of the icy veil he had conjured around it. Perhaps it was able to fully resist the spells effects? The Actor hesitated as he tried to decide if he should try again, ultimately he raised his blade; he would not be pulling the same attack again. "Try this on for size!" Terra muttered before disappearing in a flash and reappearing behind the monster. A powerful thrust did little to move it, but a strange energy did begin to surround it. "Fade!"

Finished with his attack, Terra flashed back to his previous location only to quickly take off. He was not going to be able to dodge the monster, but hopefully getting out of its line of sight would keep him relatively safe.

To Alyssia's surprise, the mighty beast chose to gain distance, but it was all part of some sinister plan it had concocted, one that involved catching all of them in one powerful blow. Quickly catching swift wind of the scheme, Alyssia was barely able to dodge it, though not everyone had been as lucky. She took to the air and landed on the far side of the creature, intent to put a serious dent in its stamina now that it was starting to get weaker. She nodded her head to Cerberus before she slashed the air causing a ghostly seal to appear on the ground and break. The chamber was filled with the sound of horrid wailing, but Alyssia seemed to grin wickedly, taking pleasure in the sound. She gripped the blade tightly and began to lay into the beast as if dancing, her blade slicing at the thing's thick hide again and again. Ending her attack, she stood her ground, glaring at the behemoth warily.

Cerberus roared in agony as the behemoth's claws teared into his flesh causing really dark red blood to splatter the chamber floor. The wound also continued to bleed rather profusely. He was glad his master had been agile enough to dodge it, so he ignored his own pain for the time being and counterattacked as his master had dictated. Opening each mouth, scorching flames began to form, morphing into large spheres. Jaws snapped shut as three fireballs shot outwards through the air. The first attempted to hit dead-on while the other two came in from the sides.

She and Alyssia had been lucky to avoid the rather sharp claws which easily dug into the others; their wounds were still bleeding after the beast drew back. But Lightning would be able to alleviate that later, for now she would need to deal with the behemoth. With a quick thrust of her hand, the electricity which had been building up inside of her shot at the creature. Hopefully this time it would be stuck in its place.
"Ouch!" Terra barely held in a yelp as he looked down at his still bleeding wound. It did not look like it was gonna stop bleeding anytime soon and that was not good. "Well that can't be good." the Actor muttered, lowering his saber for the moment, only to stare at the wound for just a little more before raising his blade again. Only this time he raised it into the air again as he had done the first time. A little power boost might allow him to make up for allowing himself to be so easily wounded.

Alyssia cringed as she was forced to watch the behemoth violently ram its bulky mass into Lightning sending her flying through the air and crashing into the stone pedestal. "That had to have hurt. You all right, Commander?" Alyssia called out sheepishly, sidling over so she was next to the behemoth. She was kind of glad that the thing hadn't thought of her as much of a threat. Its muscular body was absorbing most of her blows well anyway; she could hardly do anything to it, and her magic tended to cost a vast amount of mana that she didn't really have, not to mention she wanted to save some in the case more danger presented itself to them. She slashed at the beast twice and held onto her blade, unsure of the creature's next action. It seemed to rely solely on brute force, and boy could it use that brute force well enough. If it aims something at me, I hope my reflexes are sharp enough to save me, she thought, tensing her muscles so she would be able to spring out of the way in the case that something happened.

Cerberus summoned more fire from each of his mouths which curled around and condensed into a sphere. Three more fireballs were shot from his mouths, their trajectories the same as before. Thanks to Alyssia, the creature's magic resistance would be in the red, something that they should take advantage of. It was a shame that the creature possessed such adept defense, but it was obvious that it had not much to counter the ways of magic.

"I'm fine." the soldier grunted as a wave of mana was directed over her. She wanted nothing more than to take full advantage of the creature's current state, but with the power boosting mana gone she would not do too much damage.

"Deshell!" Lightning muttered, a hand thrown in the direction of the large behemoth. A surge of mana flew at the beast, hopefully striking it head on, but that was not what the spell was for. Rather then damage the creature, which was little more than a handy side effect, the mana was meant to lower the target's resistance to magic even further.

"Fuck." Another simple curse flew out of Alyssia's mouth as the girl herself flew across the room to come to a stop next to Lightning's body. She quickly retrieved a crystal from her dress and pressed the thing to Lightning's forehead, watching as the body took the crystal in slowly with a slight flash of light. The crystal would rouse her so that she could fight once more, not that there was much more fighting to do. "Cerberus, take it," she commanded while keeping watch over Lightning to make sure she would be okay. "Back up and at 'em, Commander."

Claws and teeth flashed as Cerberus leaped upon the behemoth in an attempt to end it once and for all. Playing around with it might not have been the best idea now that it had shown them what it was truly capable of. Granted, Cerberus knew taking on such a beast was going to be difficult from the beginning. He noticed that his wounds were finally ceasing to bleed which was a good thing. He had lost enough blood as it was. Panting, he kept his guard up in the case that his attacks weren't sufficient enough, though he was positive he had done a good job.

Lightning had not been expecting that sort of force, but then again, she had just been thrown across the room. She hit the ground with a thud, completely unable to get up and keep fighting even though the beast was on its last legs. That was quickly remedied however, as Alyssia made her way over and used one of their few Life Crystals. Lightning's eyes opened pretty quickly and she slammed her right hand on the ground as she forced herself up. "Wasn't expecting that." she muttered.

Finish your healing people because we don't know what's coming out of the next room if anything," she ordered her partner while advising the others. The last thing they needed was to be caught unaware. Alyssia landed next to the lever and pulled it without much hesitation. The wall of the room to the bottom right lifted and another roar resounded throughout the area. It was a very familiar roar and Alyssia sighed. If they took one down, they could handle another to be sure. "Good thing we didn't try to take both on at the same time," she uttered to herself, turning to face the source of the sound with her blade at the ready. Her gaze shot to the room with the lever in it. "When I pull the last lever, it'll open the top left room and reveal our way out...hopefully," she called out to her allies. "I'm going to go ahead and pull it so we have an avenue of escape in the case that we need it."

Finding himself dangerously low on stamina, Cerberus dug into his fur with one mouth and when he pulled back, there was an herb resting on his tongue. He downed the plant in a rush, taking pleasure in the healing relief that it provided, but in the grand scheme of the pain he felt, it hardly made a dent. At least he'd be better prepared for the second behemoth that was coming.

"Bravery." the woman stated in her normal tone, arm thrust out towards Cerberus. In moments a wave of mana similar to the one that she surrounded herself with covered her three-headed ally, providing a similar effect to the one she had.

Cerberus, why didn't you move...? Alyssia thought as she caught glimpse of the behemoth charging out from the room it had been held in only to wind up brutalizing Cerberus some more. Alyssia growled slightly, wanting to get in on the action, but seeing the aura of strength that surrounded him, maybe he'd be able to turn the tables with the help of Lightning and Terra. Taking solace in this, Alyssia flew through the air, dodging around a wall and coming to a stop next to the lever by the east wall. The only accessible lever now was the one in the upper right room. It had to be the one that would lead to their way out unless there was another one hidden somewhere which was definitely a possibility, and if that were true, there was no telling what the next lever would hold...

Cerberus snarled as the beast rushed up to him and landed two powerful blows upon his weakened form. The shadows recoiled and thickened if only slightly. The three-headed dog retaliated in kind with a plethora of bites that were powered up thanks to Lightning's magic. He was worried, however, about how much longer he would still be standing. Panting slightly, he held his ground. Running would be pointless. If he was going to face demise, he was going to actually face it.
Cerberus waits.

Raising his saber again, the Actor pointed it in the direction of the dog this time. Light surrounded him and soothed his wounds, even more so due to his weakness to the element. And even when most of it faded, it still clung to him as was normal. "There you go!" Terra added after the side effects began to work.

Another wave of mana quickly replaced the one Lightning had used, covering herself in the form she had been prior to her being knocked unconscious. "Deprotect!" Lightning said sharply, thrusting a hand out at the large behemoth. It was a physical tank, if her magic worked it would be unable to protect itself from Cerberus' super-charged attacks.

Alyssia just took a few more steps towards the lever and pulled it down with gusto. One of the walls of the upper left room--Alyssia could hear it. The sound of stone grinding against stone filled the chamber, but she couldn't see what lie within the room. She assumed there wasn't another behemoth, for no roar could be heard. The only sounds of life seemed to be coming from the battle in the south part of the chamber. The investigation could wait. For now, she'd get back into the skirmish. All she could remember is Cerberus taking some fierce attacks, and she didn't know where things had gone from there.

Cerberus took the blow and slid over to the behemoth's side, taking advantage of the blight Lightning had visited upon it. Teeth glimmering with intent to kill, Cerberus chomped into the behemoth's flesh finding it surprisingly easy to wound now. Power backed him up and Lightning's magic left the beast vulnerable. There was no doubt in his mind that it wouldn't be lasting much longer under the torrent of attacks he was unleashing.
