Re: The Monsters' Academy
Kaminari was very unhappy when the girl tightened her grip, and she just nodded at Vyne when she tried to explain her sister's actions. If they acted like this all the time, Kaminari was sure she'd have no trouble telling the difference between them. When Envy called her Nari, it made her smile, Maybe they can be my friends, since they're already giving me a nickname... Kaminari almost forgot to answer the girl's question, "Um" she thought it over "Well, I don't like to perform that much... I like to read though" She knew this whispered answer sounded lame, but it was the truth. Relief flooded through her when Envy finally released her...
Kaminari, apparently now called Nari, looked up at the boy who had come over too. She blushed when he reminded her of her lateness. "Yeah," she mumbled, "it does suck. But I forgot to turn on my alarm last night... so there wasn't much I could do."
Now she looked at the girl, Kasey, who was extending her hand. "Hi..." she reached out and grasped the offered hand lightly, "I'm Kaminari." She wished they hadn't ALL come over... one or two people was ok, but this crowd around her was making her feel more shy than normal.

Envy frowned slightly when she heard Nari didn't like the arts. It made her sad, but she supposed not everyone could be as awesome and gifted as she and her sister were. However, Vyne's small smile grew just a tad. "...You like to read? So do I... What kind of books do you like? I myself enjoy Shakespeare..." Vyne asked quietly, slightly interested.
Envy turned towards everyone else. "...Well well, aren't we popular all of a sudden? Nari, do you play any instruments?" she asked cheerfully, fumbling with her hands.

Re: The Monsters' Academy
Kaminari could tell that Envy was disappointed when she told her she didn't like to perform. She sighed. Maybe I should be more outgoing, I bet people would like me more then...
When Vyne said that she liked to read, Kaminari's mouth twitched at the corner as a smile began to form. "Well," her voice was slightly louder than it had been before, "I quite enjoy fantasy, and romance too." Her shy smile grew as shew remembered many long hours spent curled up with a book in a big, comfy armchair. "Shakespeare is pretty good, but sometimes I find it hard to follow."
By the way things had gone so far, Kaminari could tell that between the two twins, she definately liked Vyne's personality better.
She glanced at Envy when she asked her if she played any instruments. Briefly she flashed back to when she was only 7 years old; the memory was a pleasant one. "I used to play the violon, but I don't anymore..."

Re: The Monsters' Academy
"Once you read enough of it, Shakespeare is easily interpreted. There are sometimes glossaries or footnotes that help you along, too." Vyne said, her growing smile mirroring Kaminari's. "...As for fantasy and romance, they're okay, too. I've read a few, but I mostly like poems and plays."
Envy drew her legs towards her body and sat her head ontop of her knees, listening to the two's conversation. "...Vyne calls it 'romance', but what she actually means is 'smut'." she stated, grinning and receiving a glare from her sibling. "They're nasty books. If they were pictures instead of words, it'd be porn, not smut. But it's not, so..."
"No, no! It's romance! Um... umm... Very passionate romance novels!" Envy raised her voice, covering her growing blush with her hands.
"Ha ha ha, you're so cute, sis~ ♥ But that's a coincidence~ Vyne plays the violin, too~ Too bad you don't play it anymore. Actually, I play the piano. We learned different instruments so that we could teach each other how to play, but I'm not the type to absorb things quickly, you know?" Envy explained, running her fingers through her lengthy pink tresses. Vyne nodded in agreement. "She plays well with both, but I'm pretty good at acting, myself. It's also unfortunate that you don't like acting, either. It's fun. Oh, hey, what about cooking or drawing? Maybe paining or sculpting and pottery? You gotta like one of those, right?" she blabbed, contempt with chatting with the shy girl.

Re: The Monsters' Academy
Kaminari watched the exchange between sisters with slight amusement. Her smile grew as they debated whether the 'romance' that Vyne read was actually 'smut'. She thought iit was kind of mean of Envy to embarass her sibling like that, but she supposed that's how sisters were supposed to act. Kaminari wouldn't know of course, seeing as she didn't have a brother or sister.
Kaminari found it amusing that Envy played the piano; she tried to imagine this energetic, somewhat loud girl playing such a calm instrument as the piano, but she couldn't wrap her mind around the notion. Acting on the other hand, yeah, in her mind's eye she could definately picture Envy standing on a stage, molding mere lines from a script into a beautiful symphony of words for the audience to enjoy.
She snapped back from her brief period of zoning out when Envy asked her something. "Hm, what's that? Cooking? drawing? painting?. Well, I do like all of those in fact. Some people tell me I'm quite a good cook, but I think they're just trying to make me feel better." She paused briefly, smiling at the fact that she was having an actual conversation with someone. It'd been a long time since she'd conversed with another person. "I like art too. Basically anything. Drawing, painting, pottery, you name it. Although I don't think I'm very good; I just find pleasure in expressing myself. Art gives me a way to let my creative juices flow."
Kaminari thought with delight, Maybe these two can be my friends after all...

Re: The Monsters' Academy
Haku sat on a bed in the Infirmary and stared out the window, this was Leon and her second time coming here. And this was the first day of school! Weren't first days supposed to be easy on the freshmen? Nevertheless, this was riduculous, but Haku had always been the kind of person to get hurt easily, which is probably part of the reason why Zazi's always so overprotective of her.
"Leon-kun, are you feeling better?" Haku asked Leon who was in the bed beside Haku's.

Re: The Monsters' Academy
The school was strange to say the least. But then again, they were all strange. So how could it be strange, when it felt so normal? Sanity walked the campus, a slight spring in her step. She was one of the few that had been here the longest. She walked by a couple of first years, a slight smile gracing her face.
She remembered her first year. She hadn't even developed her powers. But it had been a very nice year. But her second year was littered with chaos, she had developed her powers faster than she imagined. And while it was good to have several spells in her arsenal, they weren't under much control. Her smile faded but grew slightly more than the previous. She had gotten in a lot of trouble that year, but it was fun.
She passed the first years and continued on. Stopping just outside the infirmary. She remembered second year again, she had wound several students there as well as herself. Maybe she would go in for old times sake, seeing as she never went there anymore. Not now that she had a good control on her powers.
Sanity entered the infirmary, slightly displeased with the new look. She moved around just outside where some students lay, looking at some of the bookshelves and pots. She was about to leave when something seemed out of place. A small piece of paper stuck in between the shelve and frame of the smallest bookcase. She pulled it out and opened it up.
Sanity smiled, this was a great find.

"I'm ok," Leon smiled. "It will take much more than just a dodge-ball to knock me out." He sighed and glanced around the room. "Did you realize the nurse threatened to give me a permanent bunk if she saw me in her for the rest of the week." Leon sighed. He was having a very... special day. But for some reason, he felt it was worth it.
Back in thee gym, Kiba clapped his hands to get everyone's attention. "Since the gym is partially destroyed and the dodge-ball game canceled, the remainder of the gym section will be held outside on the field. So lets go everyone ~"

Zazi looked over and stood up, laughing.
"You do realise that you just contridected what you just said..."
He looked back at Kasey, twins, and the new girl.
"You coming?" he said sighing. He felt so tired now and he couldn't quite tell why.
(Sorry for shortie... BrainBlock from last few days o school.)

"Contradictions are what make life fun~" Kiba asserted. "But out to the field with you now~" He make shooing motions with his hands to direct the students outside.
"Since it's such a lovely day," Kiba continued, "we can have a nice game of soft ball. Mostly because it needs little interaction on my part. Have fun!" A group of hitodama dragged the equipment towards them as he spoke, dumping them in the middle of the field.

- - -- --- Homeroom --- -- - -
The day had been going exceptionally well for McKenna.
It was her first day of school at a new school. From what she read, the school was specifically designed for her kind, or "Monsters", as folklore had called them for quite some time. Her homeroom class was bustling with delinquents of all sorts. A few imps were spitting fire all over the room, which the aqua nymphs would frantically attempt to extinguish shortly after. Irritated by the noise and calamity across the room, McKenna slumped down into her desk, laid her head onto it, and attempted to sleep.
Such shenanigans were looked down upon at the school, but the homeroom teacher didn't seem to care at all. In fact, it seemed like he was getting a laugh about the children's behavior. McKenna even eyed a group of boys harassing a timid looking girl. McKenna frowned with extreme disapproval; being the firebrand of passion she is, she had to do something about it.
McKenna lifted her head, slammed her hands down onto her desk, and shouted "What the hell are yall doing?" A sense of rage shown through her voice.
"What does it have to do with you?" The male on the left smirked and turned back towards the girl, pushed her a little bit, and turned back towards McKenna, "See? That didn't affect you a single bit, did it?"
"Of course it did." McKenna frowned and walked towards the boy, "I don't like it when people bother others without a good reason. It bothers me. And that makes it affect me." Her eyes showed little care about the boy's feelings, "Now stop touching her."
"You have no authority over me, bi-" The boy started, feeling rather confident and fearless that morning, only to be interrupted by an enraged damsel.
"I have total authority over unhinged maggots, boy." She stepped closer to the boy and pushed him against the wall, "Now leave the girl alone. She didn't do anything wrong."
After a few seconds of rustling and bickering back and forth, the boy was able to free himself from McKenna's grasp, "Would you rather have a fist in your face, ignorant whore?"
"Let me answer that question with a question." McKenna slyly responded as she dexterously pulled up the left edge of her skirt, revealing a small vial of water attached to her leg by a thin leather strap, "Would you rather have a blade in your neck?" A thin smile grew across her entire face as she opened the vial and pour the water into the air, causing it to mold into a steel blade. A drop of sweat dripped down the boy's brow as she gently placed the blade on his neck, "That's what I thought."
As soon as she was about to impale the boy's neck with the blade, it dissolved into a splash of water that magically flowed right back into the vial. Now that the boy was free, he and his cronies quickly took off, leaving the girl alone.
"Are you okay, dear?" McKenna knelt down towards the girl, who was crying on the ground.
"Mhhmm..." She muttered.
"Good, good." An innocent, blissful smile came across McKenna's face. She was satisfied.
- - -- --- First Period --- -- - -
How lucky of McKenna, for First Period was her free period. Feeling the need to give herself a tour of the school, she quickly escaped her abysmal homeroom class and wandered into the fields. It seemed as if a couple First Years were about to begin a game of softball. Wanting to observe them, McKenna took a seat on a nearby hill and prepared to watch the kids' game.

Re: The Monsters' Academy
Haku giggled hearing Leon mention the nurse's threat, it was a bit humorous to know that the nurse actually threatened a student. The nurse at her old school was like an angel, mainly because she was one. Haku sat up on the bed and yawned, she had nearly fell asleep since her body had been paralyzed with anesthetic and couldn't move until now.
"Well, at least the nurse has a sense of humor, I think." Haku said, trying to make Leon feel a bit better.

Re: The Monsters' Academy
Oh great, softball...
Kaminari followed the other students out into the field, walking a few steps behind the others because she felt like an outsider. She hated mostly all sports, not because she was the worst player, but because there were so many other people involved. Kaminari just didn't like the fact that if she failed horribly, so many eyes would be watching the spectacle.
She stood, looking somewhat lost, in right field. She had heard once that the ball went there the least, so she figured there would be less of a chance of her making a fool of herself if she played there.
