Kit moves to H5.

Elated with his success with earlier attack, he pursued the next ghost. His soul craved the rush he had gotten when the claws ripped through he cloak of the first ghost and into the underlying body. He watched from the corner of his eyes as a large instrument grew in the arms of a girl. The girl then attacked a ghost that was lounging about on the dance floor. Oh, Kit was going to give him a dance he will never forget. He tensed his fingers with a wild grin and ducked below the ghosts arms, slashing upwards, then, with a sharp twist, brought his other arm around and struck again. His soul cried out with pleasure as he did.

Rico was startled as the phantom charged him. He clutched his face in pain before glaring at the thing, sword at the ready. It was do or die time. "I choose 'do'," he muttered and slashed at the thing with his sword. He took the time to get in a second strike, a quick third strike, and finished with a devastating slash to the thing's head.

The ghosts seemed to have become untouchable by his sword now, and Kazi did not want to run out when he could be swarmed by the ghosts and fall. He sighed and leaned agaist one of the walls of the tower that magically appeared again an waited to see if the ghosts would reform so he can cut them down quickly.

Will pushed his headphones until they were in a more comfortable position, and took a breath to steady himself. He looked down at the screen and pushed the mouse over to Play and, as calmly as he could, tapped a double-click. It played back the sound of the phantom's slash, except almost musically distorted . . . until it screeched again at the end, causing all off the nearby phantoms to menacingly turn their heads and claws towards him.

Now in a panic, Will stumbled away again, going round the tower until someone else was near him. But one of the phantoms was also close by, and it looked as if it intended to make his entrails his extrails with its shiny claws.

Shakespeare attacks enemies in range! Record activates - 9 Int damage to all within range.

Kazi moves to cell E-8

The moment Kazi noticed the ghosts taking a physical form again, he dashed toward one of the ghosts and drew his sakabato to quickly slash the ghost. Then the swordsman jumped up and held his sword above his head, delivering another blow to the place that seemed to be the ghost's head.

Rico was knocked back into the wall by the phantom's surprisingly powerful attack, but what could he expect? He was up against a ghost with minimal fighting skills and no experience fighting anything except training dummies. Still, he resolved to defeat the thing; he was pretty pissed. He ripped off his cloak and mask and tossed them into the air. The mask skittered along the ballroom floor and the cloak descended slowly as Rico unleashed another furious attack.

Heaven moves to E9 (E11 - E10 - E9).

Heaven quickly advanced as the Watchclock Phantom was simultaneously attacked by both Kazi and Will, and proceeded to let a few random notes which widely resonated through the ballroom to attack one of the three remaining Watchclock Phantoms. It cringed in pain as a distorting sphere of Sound Mana grew and expanded until it finally faded. She wondered what else she could do with such splendid object she had at hand...

Kit had gotten carried away in he heat of the moment by the teeniest bit and ended up slashing through the ghost instead of into the ghost. Aw well, we all make mistakes. He grinned, eager to take revenge for being made a fool of. Both DJ and the girl were playing there music to attack with, and his head head bobbed to the chaotic beat.

"Hey, ghostie, wanna dance a bit?" he asked mockingly before swinging both hands in front of him, ripping the ghost in two. As the tattered cloak fell, he walked off, licking his claws and looking for a new target. "I guess that wasn't your song."

Upon seeing their comrades struck down like reeds before a thrush, the two remaining phantoms raised their clawed gauntlets in the air, as if signifying something. Then, the metal grew down their arms and blended with the rest of their otherworldly bodies, creating two creatures unlike what they were before. They violently attacked the one that had harmed the one called Diparrtid in retaliation, or revenge. After which they snapped back into their original forms and places, seeming exhausted.

Heaven could do nothing to stop the devastating attacks both Watchclock Phantoms delivered, one after another. Even though she had what she most needed in that moment, the girl fell down as the Universal Tone morphed back into a completely normal MP3 Player in a sudden flash of light... Guess she didn't had enough time to practice and perfect what could be done with it.

After slaughtering the strange phantom in front of him, he was lucky enough to catch sight of two of the monsters teaming up on a not-so-defenseless girl. She was lying on the ballroom floor before he knew it. It was strange seeing this complete stranger and actually caring about her well-being. Perhaps he just didn't like the phantoms and didn't care about her. Regardless, he raised a hand as if to grasp the phantom, but it was too far away. A small black sphere appeared in Rico's hand and shot forth, gaining in size until it clashed into a phantom with a fairly large explosion of darkness. Rico was awestruck. What had he just done?

Kit hissed in distress. He didn't know why. He hadn't even met the girl, so why was he sad? Maybe he just missed the music she played. Hey, that was it. But he still had sorrow in his heart. Strange. He growled at the ghost that struck the final blow and lashed out. His silver claws flashed in the light of the moon before passing harmlessly through the ghost's now intangible body. his momentum spin him around he landed awkardly on his butt. He knew it would have happened (except for the falling part,) but it had served as a good stress reliever. Next turn, however, he was going to try out a new move. One he knew would have rather pleasing effects. He grinned in anticipation.

The ghosts had become untouchable again, he sheathed his sakabato and waited for them to rematerialize. But on of his 'allies' seemed to no notice that they couldn't be touched by physical means anymore and continued attacking, itwas kind of pathetic to watch.

Will looked up from in between his knees where he'd been staring. Surprised to find the two phantoms still standing, he watched the two attack. One moved and did something he didn't expect to see: it raised its arms almost like an older kid dressed as a white-sheet-ghost, trying to scare the younger ones for candy. It looked absolutely ridiculous.

Kit snarled at the ghost. This drifting in and out of physical existence was really annoying. The blasted things even looked smug about it! And to make it worst, the little bugger attacked him! The nerve of them! He charged his claws with a savage grin. This one was going to pay. Big time. With a fast swing of his hand, he threw a curved energy slash at the ghost. Quickly, he through four more. The first slash cut across the ghost's back, ripping the fabric of its cloak. The other four rapidly tore into the ghost, leaving it a lifeless pile on the ground.

Rico moves to H3.

Rico dashed forth over the fallen phantom to reach the one that was fast approaching. It's pathetic attempt to scare him was laughable, but he was not in good humor at the moment. As he got closer to it, he jammed his sword into the thing before ripping it out and slashing it a few more times, the last blow was extra powerful and landed right on top of the thing's head.

Oky, everybody has gained 25 experience points. Awesome job on the multiple overkills and keeping up with the roleplaying!

But here's how this'll work: every overkill earns the party one of the enemy's equipped gear. Whether you can equip it or not depends on what your character can wield and wear, but you don't have to equip or keep any of it, everything that's received can be sold at a shop, which you'll all see later when you get into town.

Leveling up is very straightforward, you all should know how it works. But just in case any of you need a refresher, stat points are for increasing your characters stats. You cannot use any more than you have received, which in this case, you all have received 6 stat points. 1 stat point increases HP or MP by 5, and all the others by 1. For two level ups, you have received 2 skill points which can be spent on abilities or can be saved for later. In the event of a job promotion, you will still have the skill points that you didn't spend. And if for some reason you didn't spend stat points, the same goes for them as well.

Now! Get to leveling up, and ~~maybe finally~~ I'll get to updating.

The tower William had been leaning on vanished and he was left to fall back on his elbows. It seemed the tower vanished with the girl inside, because she was no where that Will could see.

"What the hell?"

Phantoms in clocks? Towers that appeared and disappeared? His laptop had magic software? There were far too many questions left to be answered, but the Masquerade went on.

As Will stood, the crowd that had gathered clapped appreciatively, whistling and bowing. "That's the best I've seen in years!" Will heard someone call. Entertainment? They hadn't planned on this. Up on the stage the Masque was bowing and beaming in all the attention, as if he'd been the one to orchestrate the battle for the Masqueraders' delight. Yeah, right. The crowd went back to dancing, gliding on the dancefloor as the phantoms' garments faded away into nothing.

Will slid his headphones back down on his neck, already becoming familiar with its weight, and searched for the others that had fought. One in particular had him in concern. The girl that'd had the strange instrument (if that's what it was) was still unconscious. What was her name? Will didn't know and regretted not knowing as he rushed past the twirling dancers and stopped at her side. Suddenly feeling a bit awkward, he simply stood there, looking down at her with a concerned expression. "Hey, uh, you okay?"

What the hell has just happened? As Heaven slowly began slipping again into the realm of the conscious, the voice -Will's voice- grew stronger. She managed to open her eyes, to see Will starting down at her. Startled, the girl quickly crawled and kept the miraculous MP3 Player, which was thrown away nearby, in her pocket once again. Hopefully, it shouldn't be damaged...

"Yes... I think I'm fine." The Sound Enchanter responded to Will with a smile.

Around her, it looked the battle was already over, as the dancers were now taking as much space as it was before the supernatural occurrences began. Heaven did not know what to do next, so she ought to stick with Will and the rest.

As if shocked, a young boy looking about the age of 16 jerked away from a dancer he had accidentally touched. It wasn't even a bump, just a brush that normal people wouldn't notice. Quickly backing away from the crowd of dancers, he reached the wall of the room and leaned against it, letting out a deep sigh. This was utterly nerve racking for him.

"And. . . . . I think I lost Layla and Raven," the boy mumbled to himself, completely distressed. Pale blue eyes frantically searched the crowds but saw no one familiar. Moaning in disbelief, the boy slumped, depressed. He should have just stayed home. "Now what should I do?"

Now in despair, he took a seat in a nearby chair. Soft, white hair seemed to glow with an eerie light and if one were to look directly above his head, they would notice a circular like object floating there.

Had they really thought that it was some kind of performance? Rico was elated by the victory and the strange powers he now mysteriously possessed, but there was still so much that needed to be explained. He put away his sword and looked around. Everyone else seemed as distraught as he was about the whole situation. Was everything really going to carry on as if the fight was just a joke? An act? It had been serious right? Maybe it wasn't. Maybe it was just the Masque's idea; was he behind their newfound strength? Kind of like special effects of some sort? More and more questions appeared, but not a single answer presented itself to him. It irritated him to no end.

He offered the girl a hand so that she could pull herself up, headphones sliding a little as he moved.

Kit smiled somewhat sadly as the ghosts faded away. Sure, the whole fighting concept was new (especially the skills he was using) but that didn't mean it wasn't exhilarating. Neither did it mean he could enjoy it. The high he got form the battle was fading, and he didn't feel like dancing with the spectators either, so he slipped ff the dance floor and moved through the press of the crowd and started wandering the edges of the room.

He idly mused over the events, watching the other people he fought with as he did. Maybe it had something to do with the whole earthquake thing. The Masquerade character certainly didn't seem too surprised. He even had the gall to claim credit for the whole thing. A soft glow caught his eye as he walked, and he swore it was coming from the kid in the chair's hair. Must be glow paint of something. With nothing better to do, Kit ambled over and flashed a smile that he hoped said 'I'm not dangerous.'
"Hi. Like the costume."
