"What I came into the waterway for is none of your concern. As for your friend, my condolences. I must be going now however."

With that the woman began to bolt from the scene, rushing further into the tiny maze and out the way she had been going. No slime left to stop her, there was no telling where she was headed or what she was doing. But one thing was obvious, she had come into this waterway for some reason, and there was only one person who could possibly figure out what that was.

"Your not getting away that easily."Lucian said running as fast as he could to keep up. Whoever this woman was she either had grown up running with lead weights attached to her legs or perhaps had a magic different from what Alistair could teach. Lucian was breathing heavy barely able to keep up. "Will you just stop running!"Lucian yelled trying to pick up the pace so he could freeze her.

The woman didn't answer the mage as he huffed and puffed, nor did she stop as he asked. Instead she ran faster, as if she had never been infected with whatever was in the water. But she never left his sight, as he chased after her still, following far behind.

However, even as they ran, they weren't alone in the waterway. More balls of disgusting water fell from the ceiling. Accumulating on the ground, the sources above following along. But neither chaser nor chasee took notice of the failed attacks or surging slime that stalked them.

Only when they came to a large dead end was the woman forced to turn around. Only she wasn't able to speak before a deafening shriek rang out, both pairs of eyes looking to the ceiling. All the slime that had followed them had come together, creating a giant gelatin mass that, soon after shrieking, fell to the ground. Reforming its eyes turned in two different directions, staring angrily at both intruders.

So much for his magic and planning, now he was probably suffering from the same problem she had been dealing with.
