The man suddenly staggered forward, barely catching himself with his blade. He looked up angrily, his eyes showing only malice and hate for the few moments he looked upon them. Seconds later he fell forward, unconscious, the shield he held in his right arm skittering forward only to land at Mariposa's feet. Picking up the round object, she tucked it under her arm for the time being, looking over at Lucian.

"You alrig-"

"Hands up! Drop your weapons! We have you surrounded!"

Before Mariposa could finish her question, soldiers began to flood into the room. Taking over the bridges, the duo were surrounded in seconds, guns cocked and ready to fire. Mariposa bit her lip, looking around for a moment before sighing heavily. The blade and shield in her arms fell to the ground, clattering against the cement bricks.

Her hands raised into the air slowly, and she looked to Lucian with a nod of defeat. He would have to realize that there was absolutely no way out of this, they would have to submit to defeat. They alone could not stand up to an army of soldiers.

Looking at the soldiers that surrounded them Lucian could only feel dread having no possible magic to create a diversion for an escape, or a forcefield to repel any bullet. Taking the ring off his finger he could only think of how disappointed Alistair would've be and how Quinn would be alone for the rest of his days. Placing the ring on the ground next to Mariposa's sword he turned his head to Mariposa and raised his hands into the air as he was told. "Please tell me you have one more trick up your sleeve."he whispered ready for the soldiers to cary him away in chains.

"I'm afraid not..."

Mariposa looked down at the cement below, eyes full of worry. Her mission had been a complete and total failure, and worse she dragged an innocent kid into this. Looking over at him she gave him a look of sympathy, mouthing her apology as a soldier came over and locked her hands behind her.

Meanwhile another soldier and medic went over to the fallen captain, working their quick magic and inventory on his wounds. It took only a few minutes for the man to force himself to his feet, using his blade as a cane. His eyes sharpened on the two, his gaze lingering on Mariposa with a smug smile.

"On your orders commander."

"They shall be airlifted to the Kinato Dungeons."

"No. This boy is not involved with my affairs. He's an innocent child dragged into a situation he was never meant to be a part of!"

The man and soldiers ignored her completely.

"Yes sir."

The soldiers began to drag them away, others collecting the fallen pieces of equipment. The few medics and soldiers that stayed with the man continued to patch him up, his orders ringing in Mariposa's ears. The Kinato Dungeons... that was where their fates would be decided.

the Kinato dungeons. One of the worst prisons in Dalchiore. For any citizen that hell hole was the worst possible place to have fate lead you. Lucian though dreading his more than likely death in Dalchiore he tried to see the positives. Though there weren't many one though rang in his head 'Perhaps Alistair is there. If he is at least I'll be able to see him one final time before I move on to the next world.'. He treaded on as the guards lead him and Mariposa through the waterway. The farther Lucian got away from his ring the weaker his power felt and he knew that without it he would be no use to anyone, with it's power strengthening his spells.

The two were forced away from the sewers in agonizing silence. Pushed onto an army airship, the duo were forced into solitary confinement. The only thing connecting their cells being a single air vent. But no words were spoken between the two, both sets of spirits broken. The Kinato dungeons... that was their destination.... the place where they would eventually meet their end.

As soon as they landed, both didn't attempt to resist the guards as they were led off the ship. It was no use to try and deny the inevitable, especially as they got closer and closer to the entrance. A large pit in the ground they would be thrown into in only a few moments, left to die in the grand caverns below.

Released from their chains, both Lucian and Mariposa were shoved into the pit roughly. Hitting the ground below with a thud, Mariposa forced herself over to look up at the snickering guards. So this is how it would end for them? The laughing stocks to pitiful grunts? Mariposa looked away as one of them spit into the pit, before they all walked away laughing.

Lucian bitterly picked himself off the floor and sat against the wall. He glared at the soldiers as one of them spat into the cell. As they waled off Lucian didn't even bother to get a conversation out of Mariposa. Why bother when they would have the rest of their lives in prison to do so. Lucian buried his head in his knees and tried to relax as he knew that later they would be working themselves to death.
