Jacob sighed as the wolf fled, then winced as he tenderly fingered the slash he received. He pulled back on his next arrow, targeting the wolf in the middle of the clearing. The sting twanged as the arrow shot towards the wolf, who yelped as the barb pierced its flesh. He stayed were he was, waiting to see what the wolves did next. Besides that, he wanted to see what the lady who appeared at the other side of the clearing wanted.

"Oh!" cried Wakuwo in surprise. The beast she was attacking had suddenly been cut down! She knew it wasn't her attack that had done that... Wakuwo was strong, but nowhere near as strong to kill a monster in a matter of seconds...! The girl looked around cautiously at her surroundings and sniffed the air, hoping to get a scent of another being, but her attempts were futile. Her nose was clouded with the smell of fresh blood and she couldn't track a thing. Wakuwo kept her distance and retreated a bit, scouting out who would be her next opponent.

Jacob twirled his arrow before fitting it to the bow. He drew the string taut, taking careful aim.
"Fly with the wind, Be the swift gale," he whispered to the arrow. The arrow seemed to vanish when he let it go, only to reappear an instant later in the ground but by the wolf's feet. A loud and sharp clap echoed across the clearing and a burst of violent wind seemed to explode on the wolves.

"Wakuuuu...!" she yipped in surprise as she jumped back, almost bumping into the man behind her. As Wakuwo inspected the dead, furry bag of wolf meat, her body language and facial expressions seemed to say 'Holy crap, what just happened?!'. Of course, she probably would have said that exact phase if she knew how to speak properly in the first place.

As the wolves fell, the group moved on deeper into the forest, wanting to find this “Pride”. And as they left, two people appeared from the cover of the trees, one of them was a tall female with blazing red hair and eyes, carrying a longsword that had many burn marks on it. The other was more of a thing than a person, being a huge treant that was about as tall as the trees in this forest.

“Could Krok eat these animals?” the treant asked, poking the carcasses.

“No.” the female answered, “But those people look promising, let’s see how they do with Wrath’s experiments.”

Then the female noticed that the treant was munching on something, and one of the corpses had disappeared.

“I thought I said not to eat that!”

Diana's orb returned to it's normal blue white coloring as the fight ended. She approached the newcomer and curtsied in a polite manner. Her head bowed for a second before she returned to normal composer.

"Thank you for your Assistance. I'm Diana, Diana Rend. And you are?"

Jacob replaced his bow in it's holder and sighed. That battle was a bit difficult. It was only the help of the stranger that got them out so easily. He swallowed and nervous lump in his throat and walked over to her.

No need to worry, he told himself. It's only a woman, with an intimidating aura, fierce features, the heart of a beast, and two vicious swords. Ok, maybe their is need to worry.

"Hello," he said calmly, not revealing a hint of his inner apprehension. "Thank you for your assistance earlier. It was greatly appreciated. I am Jacob Archer," he bowed slightly, "pleased to meet you."
